TLDR

Funeral-season politics: the full factional map of Hazad gets drawn. Uncle hands down the sanctum assignment. Assassins hit Baahir at a dockside party and the party teleports him out.

  • Next week is events leading up to the Crown Prince’s funeral
    • Gnaeus’s social calendar is full for the week
  • Gnaeus is trying to set his brother up for success when he arrives and in general build connects
  • Farraj politely listens and tries to glean which way the wind blows
  • Haroun is trying to gather info, get back in contact with friends/contacts in the eagle knights
    • No one seems to benefit from this situation and is surprised by it
    • No one appears to be aware of the Sultan being in poor health
    • And so, no one is panicking yet and looking for ways to take advantage of the situation
    • The young crowd are the happiest about it, due to connections to Baahir
    • There is a small group suggesting that Prince Ikram might prove to be a strong Advisor to Baahir
